The Goats Have Arrived in the US!
This is a quick update to announce that our goats have wandered across the Pacific and landed in Tacoma, Washington, USA today! Over the next week or so, they will make their way to Wisconsin by freight truck and then wing their way to you by courier service. Their path home to you is, fittingly, just like they behave in the real game!
Pre-Sale Store Closed
In preparation for shipping your games, we are closing the pre-sale store on BackerKit. This will allow us to provide our fulfillment partner with a final list of your shipping details. Once we have received the surplus games, we will add Grab Your Goat! to our web-store at www.mapleforged.ca where you and your friends can pick up more copies!

Happy New Year, Shepherds!
2021 was a huge year for us at Maple Forged. A year ago, we were nervously preparing for our campaign, unsure whether this game would become a reality. As first-time game makers, we had so much to learn! Today, we are overjoyed that our dream became reality. Thank you, so much for having been a part of our journey.
The games successfully shipped!
Since the first week of December, they have been in transit on a ship destined for North America. From there, they will be routed around the globe to each of your homes. These goats are wandering all over the place!
We are awaiting an update from our fulfillment partner on when you can expect your games. As we said in our previous post, we recognize that issues with international shipping have been in the global headlines lately. We are holding our breath, awaiting further word.
What's next for Maple Forged?
Over this holiday season, we have been busy working on new projects for you! The process of making Grab Your Goat! taught us a lot about how to create together. We plan on announcing them soon!

November Update: Games Complete & Set to Ship!

Howdy Shepherds!
For those of you who are our neighbors down south, happy American Thanksgiving! For all of you, we are so grateful for your continued support and engagement with Grab Your Goat!
Production of the game is complete! As of the 21st of November, your games are sitting on the shelf awaiting pickup. We have looked over the final version of the game and think you will be overjoyed with the results!
The next step is for our games to be loaded onto a ship and make their way to Gamerati, our fulfillment partner. They have warehouses around the globe. Once your games arrive there, they will be sent directly to you. Based on the initial estimates we received, shipping across the Pacific could take anywhere from six to eight weeks to arrive at your region’s warehouse. From there, a local carrier (such as the postal service) will handle the games.
It is hard to give an exact date of arrival at this time. Based on the numbers above, however, we would expect you to receive your games by February at the latest. Of course, hovering over our heads is the specter of these “global supply chain issues” due to the COVID-19 crisis. We will be honest, we don’t know how these will impact your game delivery. But, most importantly, they are on their way! This game is happening, and it is all thanks to you.
We continue to live in gratitude for your backing as we create this first game. We cannot wait for you to play it!

October 31st: Survey Deadline and Card Charges!

We hope you're enjoying the spooky season as we approach Halloween! This Sunday, October 31st, is the deadline for completing your BackerKit surveys! If you still have not yet received your survey, please send us an e-mail ASAP so that we can get you a link!
For all backers, you should know that October 31st (or possibly the next morning) is when your cards will be charged for shipping. The money has not yet been charged to your account, but will be as soon as we close the survey for responses. This is called 'locking' the orders, and we had to wait for all of the responses to be in before charging them! If you encounter issues with the charge, please do reach out to us!

This is a reminder that the deadline to complete your BackerKit survey is October 31st! Filling out this survey is the only way to provide us with what we will need to send you your game. Failure to submit the survey by that time may result in your game shipment being delayed!

NOT EXPECTING ANY GAMES?
If you were one of the gracious backers who donated out of the goodness of your own heart, you can still fill out your survey! One of the pieces of information that we require from you is your permission to post your name to our website, publicly thanking you for your generosity! If we do not have your desired name, we will assume that you do not wish it published and will not put it up publicly.
In the mean time, we are holding our breath for news from Panda Games about the production of the game. The estimated end of production is on November 11th, only one month away! After that, we hand things off to our fulfillment partner who has mentioned that delivery by the holiday season is not out of the realm of possibilities. We'll let you know as soon as we do if news arrives!
